  1. Hello I'm trying to solve the issue mentioned there about the difficulty for gameplay mods to keep track of the modifications from the original game. There is a ticket about it #4076 for which I've tried to think about a solution in pyrogenesis but in vain (see the ticket to read why). So my solution was to create an external tool to maintain this kind of mods during the development of the main game. And here it is http://creativekara.fr/doku.php?id=0adta:start Still a WIP it only allows to edit an existing value for now. I'll add more operations and probably make it more flexible with time. I'll use it for Sibyllae Vox, if you encounter some issues feel free to say them here.

  2. Those should be the phonetics of the names. Both because we can't render hieroglyphs yet (at least not without a workaround; we'd need to be able to render the second Unicode plane, which is hard with the UTF-16 encoding, so we first need to bring the entire engine to UTF-8 encoding), and because they're somewhat pronounceable now.

  3. Include a short description with each suggestion and we will make the justification Maybe there are connections which you yourself can't find, or maybe a name is good enough to make it worth having anyway. And the connection can be to something other than the specific release. So don't let it hold back your suggestions.

  5. Some search backends ignore all words that are shorter than 4 letters.

  6. Maybe open a new topic for alpha 21 names? Also it would be nice to know what these names mean (we always had meaningful names) Edit: I already have splitted it off

  7. Here is a better version, with 128² texture : The photoshop 3d module helped me to clean texture seam (it's not very accurate, but for this resolution it works pretty well ) P.S.: on the left is 256 texture map, not the one used in game...

  8. I don't know what you have in mind but to play around a bit some links: Some heightmaps: http://www.flickr.com/photos/tags/heightmap/?page=2 Small, fast and free image viewer that can resize/resample, convert to grayscale, color correction(contrast/gamma) and some global filters (blur). It also supports many formats. Really one of my favorite programs: http://www.irfanview.de PNG pictures are not always imported correctly in Atlas so JPG is the format of my choice. If the compression create to many artifacts you can lower the compression after editing while saving.
