Just thought this would be an interesting poll. The list is taken from Wikipedia's Religions page, and the choices are listed up to #19, from most followers to least. The sad part is there are only 22 categories, two more than the choice limit. Some of the religions I haven't even heard of. Hope this will be interesting...

I'm Christian, although I don't go to church... but I don't think you have to go to church (or something similar) to have a religion... ah well, you'll get my point.

I'm in a debate around "Secular/Agnosticist/Atheist" and "Natural Religion".

I'm obviously not an adherant to one of the Book Religions, and even less to those who declare dogmas. I am not neopagan, and do not follow any said "traditional" religion as well.

The reason why I hesitate in front of the Secular choice is that I do have a credo (what I believe) and I have some faith in it. I also am Agnostic, in the sense that I deny the possibility of knowledge about what is metaphysical (beyond Nature, Observation and Experience), but it didn't stop me of having a credo in life. It is atheistic, but not atheist : I do not deny some god, but I deny its relevance in the Universe. My credo relies on the "Existence of the Universe, and its Laws of Physic". I do not worship, but, in some sense, I do honour this credo in a way. It's quite hard to define, and actually, Natural Religion is quite close to the word I would think of it.

Hmm, a distribution of beliefs that is to be expected I suppose. I was hoping there be something really random...more votes to be cast, I guess.

Well Yiuel, I would go with "Agnsotic;" the "Natural Religions" category is for literally what is listed there: Tribal religions and Shamanist, things you might find in Africa before Christianity and Islam come into the picture. Nominally, your right, your are a proponent of a Natural Religion in that it is based on the laws of Physics, i.e. nature and what you can observe, but that category is for something different.

I've read a little about Secularism, and it flows right where I think, that is, the "irrelevance of religion in my life".

I'm not sure what I am. It is kind of funny that you started this topic today because my mom and I were just talking about that.

Neither do any other evangelical Christians, so you're not alone.

However, just about everyone else does, so that's probably why it's put in that category.

Wasn't there a guy from Israel on this forum? He would probably be Jewish, if I only could remember his name... I do know he was a nice guy, though. :)

Who's the Neopagan?

Do the math...

Well, more like I'd clasify myself as some form of one; not uber into religion, anyway. It is religious persuasion, remember. 75% of Americans say they are Christian, although many aren't practitioners in a steadfast sense. Same here.

I'm a Christian and go to a small church lead by Norm Wakefield. (Elijah Ministries)

Not sure exactly what kind of Christian I am, though. :S Not sure what I classify as. B)

(and you don't have to go to church to be a Christian :P)
