Batch training

Changing options in the menu shouldn't allow to modify the gameplay and give a advantage: training the units by 2 are more efficient, specially in the beginning, right? (by the pro videos that I've seen).
Also it's an option that easily gets oversighted, so I suggest that the numbers of units should be fixed, like before.

Of course it's nice to have this feature for the engine, but not for the game.

usually 6 batch is more efficient than 5 but  having a batch size of 2 is just more flexible in most situations because you can go up to 4 or 6 and such.

Some top players even switch batch size depending on how many resources do they have ( 6 at start then 3 or 4 depending on the situation ) which is the MOST efficient way to invest your resources ( pop cap permitting )

Furthermore I'm working on a patch that lets you adjust the batch size in game by scrolling with the mouse wheel.

many things aren't well noticed or advertised, specially new features from many alphas ago. example see common question of user are related to capture attack switching.

i think batch sizes of 10 is in most cases the last update. i did some tests wit barracks (with houses its useless):

compare first loop, women batch from 2 cc' s (1batch 10batch):
6 10 ==> Improv 2 = 1,66
compare first loop, women batch from 2 hauses' s (1batch 10batch):
10 10 ==> Improv 2 = 1 (btw 3hauses have same speed then 1 cc !!)

Some  insignificant errors in the measurements now corrected (with a speed of 0.1 i was not fast enough to read off). maybe you want to do it better;)?

me play vs very hard ai petra here, i often used 5 or 6 at the start, switched very early to producing from houses. max batches sometimes (cc or baracks) about (5x) used batchsize 10, also 15 batch.:

About Minute 3, already 3 houses, clicked upgrade build from houses (may a bit to early to be better then veryStrongAI Petra):

But i saw very top player (1% of all) not use it (build from houses) in the complete game. By split soon and only prod between Barack/CC they and reduce Woman Prod, bec don't need any more. There are some advantages with both. With build from houses you often closer to some resources, more flexible about from where you want build and may faster boom ( right ?)

I have to remark that 2 barracks having each 1 unit in the que will cost you 800 resources(100 per unit and 300 per barrack). One barrack with 10 units in the que produces units slower and costs 1300 resources. If you have 2 barracks with 1 unit in the que you can also produce faster. I think going for large ques is not the best way to use your resources.

you right it think. i managed wood may not good. the other way is more boom without wood (in huge pop max probably an late attacks). means ==> week defense/attack . Time also little interesting:

Baracks cost:
150time: 300w                      <== Maurians
150time: 200f 100s 100m <== Ptolemies

build from houses cost:
60time 250f 100w 100m

!!! i found big difference in time here :-D :
30time <== wimen from house
09time<== wimen from cc
==> means 3housese are fast as the cc
