I found more information, based in the period of Hellenization in Judea and Israel, if you are studying the bible, you know in this time Judean don't like his neighbors the Samaritans.

To be committed if there are no more objections.

Actually I doubt slingers would have had helmets or body armour. Perhaps you could differentiate the ranks by the clothes? Dyes were very expensive, so perhaps basic a simple tunic, advanced one with one or two thin coloured stripes, elite with multiple.

Also, perhaps they should have sleeveless tunics but with cloaks and a cloth to hold stones, as suggested by this image taken from Duncan Head (1982) Armies of the Macedonian and Punic Wars 359 BC to 146 BC. (He doesn't quote sources so it's unclear what is fact and what fiction.

Opted for an ethnic approach in appearance for the Semitic units similar to DE.

Regarding Hellenization, I'd think the rank and file soldier would probably be less Hellenized than the elite guard and noble class, but that's probably just me wanting more ethnicity shown in the units and making excuses. ;)

I honestly think you're right. Hellenization was profound and far reaching across the Middle East, but I often think it's a bit exaggerated with regard to the indigenous cultures and even states that coexisted with them. I too would like to see some more representation for these types of local units. I think Hellenization was concentrated in important centres (like Petra for example), but nomads be nomads and Bedouins are and always have been fiercely independent. The counterparts of the people of Petra would have probably scuffed at the Greek tunics of their urbanite cousins.

Hellenic tunic became heavily used in most of Successor factions as it was introduced in the game. Again, I opted for padded cloth to solidify the design with the native pikemen. The Jewish population, I believe was familiar with it as both the Achaemenids and the Egyptians used them.

Also, to match the design with the Greek slinger units which use quilted armor at elite rank.

Hasmonean, I was thinking of the Maccabean Revolt. It could expand to the Herodian dynasty, I think.

I'm thiking even in Bar_Kokhba_revolt crushed by Hadrian.

Maccabeans is a great time for jews, because they faced Antiochus  IV Epiphanes.
