Portraits (Units/Buildings/Technologies)

For units I will do this of the format for easy UI identification. You will see also standard pose for unit types.

Support Units - Female Citizens/Roman Citizen/Roman Slaves (Male&Female)/Trader/Priest - Orange

Pose: Dignified. Slight off to the right.

Maybe purple for heroes can work (and kind of make sense, lol).

But hopefully some day all heroe have their own painted portrait like Xerxes and Leonidas does.

There is a black background layer as well, but as far as I can tell it doesn't have any effect.

I hope the first image is clear enough :P Otherwise I can redo that one :P See the lower one to get a clearer picture of the layers + layer styles :)

Hmm, I'm having some issues replicating the outer glow around the soldier and the gradient overlay from the background :(

well, reading the values isn't the problem, but they don't give the same result in Gimp :( This is what my gradient overlay looks like:

I'm gonna work in your technologies , but I will do to old style with pencil and art book. 

I need practice my hand drawing. After Sunday .I gonna have the art book.

Glow is optional only for  show proposes,  you I can get the plain archive or Photoshop archive
