right, no art development thread for the ptolemies yet so I'll dump these here for now. From what I understand there needs to be more hellensitic involvement, but I'd be happy if we got readable placeholder models.

  • 4 weeks later...

is that fine to use models from RTW forum?

anyway ,you can use 3dsmax 9 and scripts post on their forum to convert .cas model to .dae(not directly, but one can convert to Wavefront first)

you can use their armature and their helmets, heads...they are high resolution!

I like their Galatian Infantry swordman, but how about ptolemic silver shield and companion cavalry?

Sure! let me finish this first texture and you'll be able to use any part you want

It will probably be very easy for them to just reuse the Ptolemies texture as-is and then just add new textures when necessary. And btw-- that texture is pretty awesome Enrique. You've really started to hone your craft.

Much Persian architecture was made of mud-brick too, yet a different mechanic is in place here

not only that, but they're stronger than most :/

I would keep the wood cost, or else make them take longer to build because mud brick takes time to make and cure

and keep the strength up

Quite a few cultures used mud brick, but I thought I'd give a little bit of a different dynamic here, at least with the smaller, weaker buildings.
