  1. Ok. my new ideas after playing 1v1 in Bactrian skirmish. Add champion Mercenary camp, an special building that adds Champions mercenary units only. Add less building restriction for Colonies and CC. Add Galatians mercenaries as optional from their actual Thracian Black coat. Add Bactrian Cataphract as mercenary and some hostil few units in the map. A technology that increase outpost in late. Women are rare trainable in early, I don't see why is feeling unbalanced. or why need high recruitment prerequisite in all faction. Personal request, I want if want take my audio sounds to test it before be committed to main game(vanilla) Military colony upgrade a CC. Have 1v1 Scythian map. too much lag, normal size. Add neutral market to maps are part of Silk road.
  2. Here we follow the design of minifaction. my ideas. one hero one champion unit no wonders( only few exceptions) special for campaign maps/scenario. rooster composed by full faction units. rooster composed with unique units unique architrcture generic architecture from a full faction already in the game. ai very simple and change easil by a superior for. Betrays human players ask resources to their allies. represent minor cultures Unbalanced for gameplay proposes. focus in 3 types of units or classes. cities with historic influence or part of historic battles, (Pergamon, Judea, Phoenicia, Rhodes,Syracuse). minor Kingdoms, Pontus, Numidia, Thracia, Illyria. own emblem or not full historic. rebels, pirates, mercenaries. (Spartacus Army, Cilicia Pirates, Zealots, Gladiators)
  3. They cost metal, cause are mercenaries, okay. Right now mercs haven't no bonus, so what it's the purpouse of having them? Right now athens can't develop a ranged citizien soldiers economy (cause the other option, slingers, cost stone) so they are vulnerable to ranged cav in early game. Of course this can be seen as a setoff of the mining bonus.. but... any thought on this?
  4. i have an idea for 0AD, if i send and invitation to a player and him acepts it i can train my friends units, i pay the cost of this units, example i play with carthage and my friend with seleucida, i send and invitation to him, he acepts and on the market i get a few groups of units to buy, this units are: * Parthian Archer * Median archer * Partheian cathafract * helepola. * seleucid elephant with the normal cost of this units, these are the units allowed to be used as mercenries Athens: Marines, Helepola, Pelthast, Ballista Scorpio Britons Chariot, Longsowrdsmen, Spearmen, Carthage: Elephant, Numidian calvary, Ballista, Quinquerreme, Trirreme, Egypt: Judean Slinger, Nabatean Archer, Quinquerreme, Peltast, Iberian Champion Calvary, Champion infantry, Swordmen, Javelinist, Slinger, Macedon Pikeman, Thracian calvary, Thracian peltast, Champion infantry, Phalanx "llimited to 100", Gauls Spearmen, Solduros, Brithent, Persia Archer, Elephant, Chariot, Archer, Cathafract, Seleucids Cathafract, Archer, Parthian archer, Helepola, Spearmen, Rome Samnite allies Calvary Velites Spartans Spartaties Spearmen But for buy this mercenaries my friend must accept my invitation and i pay it
  5. My proposition here is explain one of my obsession to give it to this game. Is a feature knew as neutral buildings, I will use Warcraft 3 official info in order to explain this feature because they were the first that I saw implement this in a RTS, after them AOE 3 do it the same with tradepost. ################################################################################ Neutral buildings appear at strategic locations on every map in Warcraft III. They are designated on the minimap as tiny golden houses. These neutral buildings can be used by any race. Any unit that comes within close range of a neutral building can use it. When a unit enters the vicinity of the building, an arrow usually appears over its head, indicating that the unit can click on the neutral buildings to do business, such as hiring mercenaries or buying magic items(here can be technologies). Some buildings have automatic benefits, and require nothing more than the presence of a unit nearby. Here are a few neutral buildings that have been sighted in the lands of Azeroth. You can also use the Select User button on the neutral building and click on the unit you want to use to activate the building. Neutral buildings are never actually owned by any one player. To use a neutral building, a player must move a unit within one cell (150 game units) of the neutral building. The building will then indicate that it is now active for the player and can be used. Once a unit has activated a neutral building, the player can left click on the building and receive a new command card with a list of commands indicating what can be done at the building. Units from opposing sides can use neutral buildings simultaneously. All neutral buildings are invulnerable. Neutral buildings' stock has a Cooldown indicator so you know how long you need to wait for an item/unit to be back in stock. Use neutral buildings at night to avoid the Creeps defending them. ############# ------ source: http://classic.battle.net/war3/neutral/buildings.shtml ----############# We can have different Mercenaries from a biome region.
