I agree that 0 A.D. shouldn't kill itself (they do need to keep the servers online), however, if some of the money was invested in the game so that it's good enough to post on steam, we could get a large enough player base that fundraisers might be easier. Besides with inflation (which I think is happening everywhere) 0 A.D.'s only loosing money.
I'll look forward to seeing the yearly report.
There are some reports here: https://wildfiregames.com/forum/forum/419-treasury-committee/

An update on the situation: I can now successfully compile the latest Git version of 0 A.D. again without any errors, on the latest snapshot of Manjaro Linux. However I can't run it due to a missing library issue.
/home/mircea/Games/0ad/0ad_GIT/binaries/system/pyrogenesis: error while loading shared libraries: libicui18n.so.73: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory
I have the ICU package installed. However my version is 74.2-1: I take it Pyrogenesis needs to be updated to use this newer version?
Try cleaning workspaces and rebuilding.

Snap version had similar problem in the past. You are using Ubuntu, right? If so, latest stable Ubuntu has already 0ad alpha 26 in the native deb package (try that), not snap. If you are using Ubuntu 22.04 you can find updated drivers and 0ad alpha 26 in this PPA: https://launchpad.net/~oibaf/+archive/ubuntu/graphics-drivers

Really nice. Can I ask you how did you generate the images? Some details on the AI system used?

TI; DR
(too Italian...)
I want to thank Minister Sangiuliano for his kindness and willingness to organize an entertainment, cultural and charity event in Italy. We wanted to promote the history of Ancient Rome with the support of experts and at the same time raise money for American veterans and children's hospitals in Italy. Zuckerberg declined the offer because he is not interested in this approach. He only wants to fight if the UFC organizes the fight. I'm always ready to fight anyway ⚔️

Elon chickened out, replying (in Italian) to Italy Minister:

So, it looks like Musk vs. Zuckerberg duel will be held in Italy, in an ancient Rome location (not in the Colosseum or Rome).

It's a bit I don't play, are women and traders still required to be killed to win? Maybe removing them from victory conditions would help for this?
EDIT: also civilian structures like houses.
From https://playbytherules.icrc.org/ :
QuoteWho is protected under the Rules of War?
Civilians, aid workers, medical personnel (those not fighting) as well as injured soldiers and prisoners (those not able to fight).
What other places or items do the Rules protect?
Water sources, crops, livestock and civilian housing should not be harmed—anything key to survival for those not involved in the conflict itself.

It looks like this was addressed in 27652, right? Are there any other occurrences of the original (fasces) symbol remaining in the game?

As the meaning of the word "cojone" can vary depending on the region and context in which it is used. Generally speaking, however, the word is used to describe a person who is brave or confident, often in the face of adversity. The root word used "Coglioni" is a vulgar Italian word for testicles.
BTW, you are right that that word may have different meanings depending on how it's used. It may also be used to describe a person who is brave, as in the cited article.

The two words have the same meaning, it is used as an offensive word, and Bakixeddu also used it in this way.

Maybe after all, then it is worth redoing the game setting from antiquity to the Renaissance, introducing firearms and cannons?
You can do it with mods:

What I said was for a26, a25 is too old and has its own issues...
For a25b + python 3.10 a patch is here: https://salsa.debian.org/games-team/0ad/-/tree/debian/0.0.25b-2/debian/patches
-
Yes.
But as I said before, you can just apply the 2 patches I pointed to with 3.11.
-
3.10.x should work without patches.
-
Debian has patches here: https://salsa.debian.org/games-team/0ad/-/tree/master/debian/patches
(The two newer ones)

Alpha 27 with Vulkan backend may also reduce the need for LODs:

Also disabled validation to get an estimate an vulkan vs gl performance, it's mostly a tie. Some times one is slightly faster than the other and sometimes the other way around.
This would be useful to do some tests: https://trac.wildfiregames.com/ticket/837

I rebuilt after adding 'LOGWARNING("%s", SDL_GetError());' and this was the new message in the console:
WARNING: Installed Vulkan doesn't implement the VK_KHR_surface extension
That was built in Ubuntu bionic with the available libvulkan-dev package from the bionic repo.
Do you have installed mesa-vulkan-drivers package?

Some other ideas are here (a bit old page, but being a wiki you can update it): https://trac.wildfiregames.com/wiki/GamePerformance
