  1. Yes, BitTorrent makes use of hashing to ensure that the bits you end up with are not tampered with in any way, and the file you end up with is exactly the same as the original seed. (Of course, if the original seed is corrupted or altered, that's a different story. Hence the probable need for a central/'official' swarm.)
  2. Windows, pretty much, although Windows still holds ~90% of the market share due to a fluke of nature.
  3. Yeah, I know, just trying to figure out which option would be the closest match to me...
  4. My great-grandfather immigrated to America from Switzerland (most people mistakenly think our last name is Italian -- it's Swiss), so where does that put me closest to? Celts (*wild guess*)?
  5. This will certainly re-kindle the debate about the legitimacy of Pluto as a 'real' planet; especially compared to Sedna, Quaoar, and the like. Here's the Wikipedia article about the object (2003 UB313): http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2003_UB313
  6. I think that's why he put a : lol : at the end of his message
  7. Wow, great work. Are you using the GIMP, or Photoshop, or...? IMHO, I think the balrog smiley is one that can be kept as-is. Not that yours doesn't look fine, but it doesn't look too much different than the original (and I don't think much more could be done to make it look more "IPB-ish").
  8. Oooh, I like the victory one! Nice job!
  9. When I was younger, it was mostly hand-me-downs. You'd be surprised how many people gave me perfectly good (but old) clothes Now, my Mom buys my clothes from Target, WalMart, etc. Personally, I don't see any reason to spend exorbitant amounts of money for clothing. The shirts I wear cost between $3 and $10 at Target/WalMart. Target and WalMart. Seriously, except for *really* nice clothes (such as dress suits), I don't see any reason to spend more than what those stores charge. I disdain buying things just as 'status symbols'
  10. Wasn't it Dnas? (Didn't he make a bunch of different pictures for people, like that chocolate bar thing?)
  11. Let's see who has the hottest temperatures. It's near 100F in San Antonio, TX:
  12. Nice job I'm sure you could have pwned him, but 'tis a good thing you kept your cool and waited it out. LOL - the martial-arts-trained cashier taking out a rougue plumber sounds like a plot twist in a comedy film.
  13. "The enemy of my enemy is my friend...", or something like that? Yeah, it's unfortunate that the series went seven games. But, it makes victory that much sweeter
  14. Exactly. Actually, "chanting" may be closer to the truth.
  15. I kept trying to think of that one - you beat me to it I wonder who came up with that - it's perfect!
  16. My best guess is that it stems from the fact that Ginobili makes such insane shots.
