  1. Oooooh that is juicy. I will definitely be looking at this some more soon.
  2. Can we talk about the organization of what needs recording & translating? Some of the lines in the audio voice list have been recorded but others have not, correct? I have some recording equipment and know an actress that could help, but I am confused about what needs doing. I am technically inclined and could submit a patch including audio files & any xml or whatever is needed, but can't find any documentation on this. Perhaps I can help draft some docs as well?
  3. I am the copyright holder of original works I post in the Wildfire Games 0 A.D. Art Development forum. I hereby release all original works I uploaded to this forum in the past, and those I will upload in the future, under the Creative Commons Attribution-Share Alike 3.0 Unported license.
  4. I looked into that briefly but gave up after a couple minutes and manually copy & pasted from the wiki. It's another thing on the wishlist though. Where can I find this template´╗┐ analyzer script´╗┐?
  5. More wall-building rules sounds like a headache, but maybe this strategy could be mitigated another way? Collapsing walls could splash damage to other walls nearby; this would perhaps be a negligible amount for a line of walls but would eventually cause a chain reaction for big wall stacks like those. Is there any related code for on-death damage and unit-type-filtering on damage? I can't think of anything else in game that works that way unfortunately.
  6. I can't remember what units counter what so I made an interactive graph: https://7yl4r.github.io/0ad-unit-net/index.html It would be nice to highlight outgoing edges on click, filter by Civilization, shape nodes by tech phase, etc..., but I should probably sleep instead. I got this data from the wiki because I didn't see any similar visuals. Screenshot below:
  7. This is a great conversation about organizing the structure of lines. Yes, voice actors may just want a simple list, but a heirarchical organization of lines that allows for more detail to be added sounds like a good idea. It needs to be clear what is the bare minimum, but these added details sound awesome to me. Perhaps an ideal solution is to have the "simple list" that covers everything needed and then a "detailed spreadsheet" that helps the overachievers add character, situation, or other contextual variation. Firstly though: I can't find any docs for how voice actors, musicians, etc can contribute. Shouldn't there be a section on 0ad.com/participate or at least a page in the wiki? As someone who was bothered by the lack of variation in voices and am still trying to figure out how I can help fix it: maybe this is a big part of why the pool of voice actors is small.
