So I'm working on animals and there's a flaming pig. I feel like theirs a historical refrence there. What is it?

Also what are peoples thoughts about easter eggs? Does anyone want a suspific joke or reference put in the encylopedia? It doesn't have to be funny It could be remembering someone who did a lot for 0 A.D.

Historical accounts of incendiary pigs or flaming pigs were recorded by the Greek military writer Polyaenus[1] and by Aelian.[2] Both writers reported that Antigonus II Gonatas' siege of Megara in 266 BC was broken when the Megarians doused some pigs with combustible pitch, crude oil or resin, set them alight, and drove them towards the enemy's massed war elephants

It's confirmed to the best of our ability. You must not be familiar with how sophisticated Yekaterina is at hiding his/her duplicate accounts.

Silier, you are approaching this issue without complete information. Please stay out of it unless you want to un-retire and get brought up to speed about it.

Also, appeal of moderator action must be done privately, not publicly.

I don't care what they are doing or how many accounts they have or how have you confirmed they are were created to bypass ban. I am reacting to the information you are sharing with the public and so far I got from the responses is "we have power we can enforce anything we want"

Incorrect. With no ratified rules then admins can enforce any rules they choose. Therefore choosing to enforce the draft code of conduct is a voluntary restriction on power

    Thats bullcrap.

  4. If that are iberian walls that come automatically at the start of game, its long term dilema, because they are placed as the last and placement of structure is not removing entities under them.

so the simplest and quickest solution is to force entities to disappear when they are build on, but that's problematic feature to have in general so was not done

Yes, inside the mainlog.html and user.cfg the passwords are displayed as a string of alphanumerical gibberish. I haven't been able to convert this string back to the correct password.

No its not. Its hash of the password you enter in game.

If you would use another client to connect to the lobby, you would use this exact string as password.

Communication is secure only if you have not disabled tls in options.

  6. This is check if entity is in parabolic range.

    x,z are posiotions

range is basic attack range of entity

    sqrt(x*x+z*z) <= sqrt(range^2 - 2range*y)

y is high difference between two entities

The thing you see in tooltip is the difference between basic range and the average range where unit could be in parabolic range.

Now give me mathematic prove that with height ( y + what is in template  ) from tower template and basic range (range) will "always" give the same result as with (y-what is in template) and (range+13)

It would be much more intuitive to include these 13 meters of range as part of the tower's innate characteristics, so that the final range remains 60. This way, additional bonus range would be 100% due to elevation.

Will not work if you place tower at hill. It wil not be 13. You cannot make it constant. its constant 13 only on flat terrain. Additionally if you place tower lower it will be minus x.

  8. If you calculate range of tower on placement from base elevation and then use that result to calculate range for elevation the result will be wrong.

Anyway if majority is in favour to ditch out the base elevation in templates for towers i don't care that much

for each ranged attack? Sorry if I am misunderstanding.

Yes, because height difference between target and attacker is different for every target if the map is not flat.

Yeah, it seems like it would be more simple to include the 13m as part of the towers 60m range, then any additional range is actually due to elevation.

Then someone will come and put it back to 80 or what current value is and base elevation bonus for towers is lost forever
