  6. LordGood, some good players and me agreed on this idea: let mercenaries to be hired with 2 stars. But first its need to research a special technology wich costs some resourses

Also some prices are inadequate : 1)Balearic slinger costs : 25 food, 20 wood, 50 stone, 25 iron. 2)Normal slinger costs : 50 food, 20 wood, 30 stone. 1) 120 resourses(25 iron included) 2) 100 resourses( 0 iron included) Fatherbushido said that the concept of mercenaries is food price converted into iron. OK, but following this logic, balearic slinger should cost 25 food, 20 wood, 30 stone(NOT 50), 25 iron. Also there are some other units with inadequate prices :sword mercenaries( Carthage/ Ptole)
  8. Hello. Lately one idea came to my mind about mercenaries. Its well known that they are expensive : cost iron, and cost more resourses in the total amount than its analogue(citizen) . That must be fixed and i got an idea how: let mercenaries gain 2x more exp per hit / kill. Thus, they can be promoted faster than normally wich makes them more usefull.
  9. Also want to add that my enemies had no opportunity to train spearchampions to counter my horses( actually txoz12 could have trained some fanatics). Guess he had no much iron since i was raiding his eco and killing some units

Someone can say that cavalry is enough strong but I assure u, Grugnas just was suiciding against me. After suiciding, my cav became promoted and could fight much better than Grugnas's new inexperienced cavalry 2016-12-15_0001.rar

  12. Elexis, i dont want to hire a hero just to raid eco. Its a bad choice. Hero is needed to boost main army , not some separate small groups like cavalry. Also i have read enough info about punic wars and Maharbal was a commander of all cavalry( incuding light numidian cavalry (ranged) ) I hope borg will join disscussion and wll bring his opinion here, because in lobby he agreed with it. Raids on traders can be counterd by normal citizen cavalry as well. Britons, Gauls,Athens, Maurya( +2 atack for sword),Persia can deal with Carthage cav pretty well, their horses dont need much iron to be trained. And as i said, so far all heroes who increase units atack, they increase champs atack or citizens atack but not separate types of units like melee/ range. May be let Maharbal increase + 4 atack for melee and +3 for ranged at least? Mercenaries cav is pretty expensive, i have played for Carthage a lot and i know that feel when u have a lack of stone / iron. Only lucky position from the beginning can help significantly. Idea of nerfing of the Briton heroine Boudicca and Roman hero Marcellus seems to be fair.
