  1. I just play online. I can make CC in this time without problems with enemy. The problem is make very close the enemy and use I good number of soldiers and if you can some cav near. I can try this form of festivel, but I need see that first.
  2. And about get Phase 2. How many time is a good for get Phase 2? And make first CC? I can get Phase II in 8~10 min.And CC in 12~14 min.Playing with Romans. I think it's slow, I want more speed.

  4. I think it's just math, in real game don't work this form, because you don't have resources to make houses, and foood in somecases. @On Topic I just use walls in geografics acidents like valley between mountains.
  5. I think it's depend of situation and how/when. For economy in early game the individual are the best like explained above. For Military have differences, if you under attack maybe the batch make more sense, because one soldier make nothing in some cases. If you make a army for attack, mayve batch are more interesting. But I try use other way, I make 5 barracks and tranning infantary individually, it's more fast. The problem is a lot of resources for it.
  6. This topic is for sugestions. But...I use 10~15 soldiers for mining stone/iron and all soldiers in the wood. Farms I make 8~10 farms.
  7. Can be, but I don't see it in my matchs. Generaly the people just use mass of ranged cav. @wowgetoff Other problem is defense of CC. To counter the ranged attack in early game get plus defense for this type of attack. The hack attack is few defense, in CC is 10 hack/25 pircing defense. @On topic If your oponent get Phase III? I don't think this estrategy will be effective. What's do you think? And about the celtic's sword cav and roman's spearmen cav. Do you think are similar against others units?! I try use them, but it's easy counter by enemy.

  9. @Panando I like of your coment. But The players use it? I just see Celtic's mass of ranged cav, but I don't see melee cav. I play with romans and use Sword Cav to take down CC enemy in late game, and others use the same tatical, but this I don't see.
  10. Yes, when I begin play 0ad that was a great problem. I play Stronghold and the system have differences between economy and soldiers. You just use the womans for economy and let your soldiers stoped some where? My solution for this is make some "bubbles" of economy. For exemple I make several "bubbles" with 10 infantary in several spots of Wood, in the stone and metal I use more soldiers, but is the same system. I just use this soldiers in last case, when the things are pretty hard. In the front I make a lot of soldiers in the same spot, if a need stop my produccion in case of attack my produccion don't stoped because I have several "bubbles" behind my defensive lines. For this I a need get Phase II as fast I can and make a CC making distance between my "bubbles" and my enemy and using my mass of soldiers to counter any attack.
  11. Can are you make some video about? I think will be cool see it. I use something near in the first 10min of the game. Make more womans, 25 and use them for colecting Wood. After make 25 womans I make soldiers, ranged infantary and colect more Wood. When the fruits get over I make farms. And wait for Phase II at 8min. After this I make more farms, but in this part I make only soldiers. The soldiers are more efecienty to colect the resources and I can use them to fight.
  12. Is a good player use one thing that not working? The players just adapt the game. If the ranged units are more strong, the players are using the ranged units. When that situation change the players wil change, and I think is not a question of bad players. This change will be a great change, but don't solve problem of ranged units. @On topic I forgoten. In other topic Incog talk about the problem of players just are using units by cost/benefit. I think maybe it's happen. It's more difficult see, but at moment I use this. In a16 if a mass of ranged units attack me I used melee cav, but now I just use anything, probably other mass of ranged units. I don't use swordmen, I just use roman's pikemans and use the iron for others things like upgrades.

I think the same, but I don't know if that problem are solution in a17. I have my questions about. I see in my matchs the people using mass ranged units. They used few melee units. @Tau I used accurately 11 roman's melee cav. I think my oponent used 10 or very close this roman's ranged units. I click to attack the units and I try to make some micro like Incog in your video. The great problem was not lost my cav, but the speed. It was very fast, in seconds my cavs were deads. But can be a good micro of my oponent, but I think this is a good discussion because the ranged units yet have. My opinion: I like the new system, but I think the problem continues. The ranged units have a great advantage in the field, I see players using only ranged units for the entire match. I do it, I know how it works, but would like to see more balanced matches between melee and ranged units. I see more numbers than strategy often. My idea is to create a penalty for ranged units when they are close attack for melee units, I think it would change things a bit.

  15. Agree, but it's not function. Cav melee is counter by Spearman with pircing damage, Cav Melee have a weak armour for pircing damage. But the problem is: ranger units have pircing damage too.
  16. Hi for all, I open this thread for discuss about the new counter system. In the new system the players need see your units status and make your choices, correct? For exemple, my enimy units are weak for hack damage, I go and use swordsman to counter. But in some games ago I have problem with it. My enemy used a large produccion of ranged infantary units, I make cav melee to counter them, but I lost my cav. I think that: I use few cav. But today I play again. I make some cav melee, 11, and try to attack my enemy. Probably he had 10 ranged infantary units, no towers or upgrades or CC, we are in early game. And my cav melee were annihilated in seconds. I hear somethins about persians chariots, without counter is hard to counter them. What do you think?
  17. I read about the test, but I waiting to a17. I talk about the problem that he's told about roman units. In a16 I just use ranged infantary, I don't use cav if you think this.
  18. Problem in a17, in a16 I just use ranged units to aproxm in enemy territory and finish the game.
  19. Spearmen with pierce damage is a good change. What's happen with ranged units? But rams now make damage, defend the army camp will be hard for the new time to build. I think is more fair the new status but with old time to build of 160 sec.
  20. Before was 40. With a good number of cav ranged and less army ranged is nothing.
