  1. Hi everyone, The fogging system, that allows hiding the changes to building in the Fog-of-War, has just been added to the svn version. (r15612) This change is a huge change, and even if much work has been done by the devs to limit the number of bugs, there can be some remaining issues. So I open this thread to collect any feedback or bug reports about the feature, to centralize everything. I'll be off for holidays soon, so this is to make sure I'll take care of every report! Also, any suggestion is welcome. I am already aware of some issues I decided to put aside for the moment, I will correct all that as soon as possible. The associated Trac tickets are the following: http://trac.wildfiregames.com/ticket/2709http://trac.wildfiregames.com/ticket/2710Thanks in advance for your participation, and enjoy playing without knowing what your enemies are preparing!
  2. Could you post the game's logs, i.e. the file C:\Utilisateurs\poste\AppData\Local\0ad\mainlog.html? You may have to make the hidden folders visible to see AppData. Also, it could be interesting to have system_info.txt also (situated in the same folder). Thanks in advance!
---- Hey The_Green_Arrow, Even if your English is not good, Google's one is probably even worse I assume you installed the last "stable" version from play0ad.com? If it's the case, what happens when you try to launch the game again? Does it crash every time?
  4. Good luck, then, I really liked what I saw while testing your mod! You should definitely use a version control system, and, why not, make your work (even in progress) somewhat public to get some feedback (which will probably be positive, and at least valuable).
  5. Can you revert your mod to the version you used during the crash? (assuming you're using a version control system, which you should do) If not, it'll be impossible to reproduce exactly the situation you experienced, so you'll have to wait a new occurrence of this...
  6. You can check here: http://trac.wildfiregames.com/browser/ps/trunk/binaries/system. Maybe there was a problem when downloading, or maybe the problem comes from somewhere else, it's just to be sure
  7. Hi Phoenix, I took a look at your mod but unfortunately I couldn't test your commands.txt file because you seem to have modified your maps or something after you played that game. Josh is right suggesting a missing DLL, could you verify your binaries/system to check every file is in it? This actually caused the "While generating an error report, we encountered a second problem" thing. So once this is fixed you can get the real error message, that may come from your mod.
  8. Haha, one of the best ways to confuse foreigners coming to the French Riviera
  9. Yes, I wanted to say "the version of the mod", in case the problem is solved in another version. We must find what code triggered this crash (but maybe it does not come from your mod, it's just a guessing).
  10. What is the mod you used? Can you give us a link to the version used for this game? This might be the cause of the problem but the mods shouldn't be able to crash the engine that way, so we must correct the behavior. Thanks in advance!
  11. Maybe it is a permission problem, or maybe it's related to a previous installation (a15?), but in any case you should remove all these data manually. Just remove the 0 A.D. alpha\ directory, and re-run the installer (again, keep the default installation path).
  12. Lion, there is not need for creating a ticket on Trac here. Sollinarise, did you uninstall the game properly before reinstalling? Please make sure that the folder C:\Users\Sollinarise\AppData\Local\0 A.D. alpha\ is removed, or, at least, empty. If it's the case, can you verify you have enough free space left on your hard drive? Keep us informed
  13. Hi Sollinarise, We're getting reports of this problem often these days. Could you try to reinstall without changing any other setting? This may help us to determine the cause of the problem. If it doesn't solve it, please come back here and tell us, we'll try something else. Thanks in advance!
  14. Hi auron, this has been already reported for a long time here: http://trac.wildfiregames.com/ticket/919 It's quite a difficult problem to solve, unfortunately.
  15. Brian, if I'm not mistaken you attached your files for three different games? Could you by any chance retrieve your friend's files (especially oos dumps)? Thanks in advance!
  16. The issue should be fixed now (see r15538), but you'll have to wait for the ppa to be updated. Enjoy playing 0A.D.!
  17. Yes, the wfg/0ad.dev repository is updated regularly with all the new changes.
  18. Ok, so you do use a development copy. You should consider using a stable version, even if some features are missing. Anyway, thanks for reporting, I am working on this! This is the corresponding Trac ticket, to follow the changes: http://trac.wildfiregames.com/ticket/2678
  19. But how did you install the game? The gdb output seems to indicate that the failing code is a recent code, that was added to the development version some days ago, so it's not part of the release version.
  20. This is caused by my r15508, so you actually are using the SVN version (even if it is written Alpha 16 it is not ). Did you update the game between saving and loading the map?
  21. Hello RedChaos, What caused the problem is that you used a lot of "rubble" entities. These entities are not supposed to be used, because they will just vanish in some minutes, by decaying on the ground. These entities are used in-game when a structure is destroyed, so you should not place them manually. I removed all these entities from your map, to allow you continuing your work. I hope you'll find something suitable to replace them! Good luck for the contest Ancient Lands.zip
  22. Bonjour Maxoen, ce post est absolument incompréhensible, tu ne devrais pas utiliser google traduction Peux-tu modifier ton texte pour écrire en français, je pourrai traduire ensuite. Merci ! Hi Maxoen, this post is absolutely impossible to understand, you shouldn't use google translate Could you edit your text to write in French, I can translate then. Thanks!

-- Indeed, we are using an old version of the forum (and the upgrade is planned), but as for many other systems than the game itself, we lack time for having everything up-to-date. Anyway, the version 4 is still under development, so we're not going to upgrade now. I can only recommend using another browser, because you'll experience many problems with IE on the Internet Thanks for finding a way to solve the problem, which may occur to other people in the future. Have fun playing 0A.D.!
  25. Thanks for this information about your unusual text size, that must be the actual root of your problems. I don't know if this is something we should fix or if there is something you can do, I'll discuss this with other devs. (en realidad resulta que la falta de ese información fue el verdadero problema, por no ser perfecto tu inglés es bastante comprensible, pero comprobamos que tu IP era de España y pensamos que a lo mejor pudiéramos entendernos mejor así.) (actually it seems that this lack of information was the real problem, even if your English isn't perfect it is rather understandable, but we saw that your IP was from Spain and we thought that, maybe, we would understand better each other)
