  2. Yes,I ordered this book and the one about the reconquista
  3. Pehraps the better would be having a fire ship, but I have an osprey book(About early ottoman armies) were there is a picture of a byzantine soldier with a kind of blowpipe(Called tufenk),and it's said,in the book, that the weapon was used to throw greek fire Here is the picture
  4. Well,I dont think that one period being dominated is sufficient to make a a sub nation,I think that sub nations should be in cases like kingdoms from civl wars or tribes Also,I looked at wikipedia and I saw that the caroliginians(Is the name correct?) conquered burgundy for a time And I will finish the civ in few time,Im just waiting to get the osprey "armies of medieval burgundy"
  5. What about add grek fire trowers and/or greek archers?

  8. Oh,I understand, but if you cant find pictures, you can ask me that i will help you Could you explain what were the Maurices reforms?
  9. I will send you through e-mail some things wich might help you with the byzantines
  10. Just some ideas,Im glad to see that you liked them And about Egypt,I was refering to the Saitic Egyptians,Even if they were invaded by almost everyone who tried,It would be fun to represent the last moments of the trully "egyptian" culture
  11. Thanks for the reply .Three factions that I also think interesting would be the maccabeeans(Is the name correct?),the kushites and latter egyptians(Before the persian invasion),what do you think?
  12. Some ideas for this possible faction: -Level one-Early Slav period -Warband axeman Link -Spearman Link -Mounted axeman Link -Javelineer Link -Moravian cavalry-(The unarmored man) Link -Level two-Late Slav period -Heavy axeman Link -Moravian cavalry(The armored man) Link -Spearman Link -Archer Link -Lancer Link -Mounted axeman Link -Level three-Early Poland -Wlocznicy(Spearman) Link -Druzyna Link -Archer Link -Mazowiecka Konnica(Masovian Cavalry) Link -Rycerze(Knight) Link -Kusznicy(Crossbowman) Link -Level four-Late Poland -Strzelcy(Mounted crossbowman) Link -Draby Kusznicy Link -Draby Link -Kopijnicy(Lancer) Link -Racowie Link Link (The mans in red) -Draby Wlocznicy Link Is this faction ok?
  13. If someone could take a look and say something about some sugested civs, that would be cool
  14. You could add albanian mercenary in fourth level, what do you think?
  15. Sorry for being away,I was travelling.Happy Easter!(Sorry for being late) Unfortunally the link doesnt work anymore(The topic was closed,I think),but I have This link with some osprey pics.Im getting some osprey pictures And the unit list is good,I just think that there are few units in latter periods. Is this "historical"? Also,Is the hunnish mercenary in the second period correct?
  16. Some interesting civs would be: -Kingdom of Aksum -Maurya Empire -Thracians -Lydians -Scytians -Latter babylonians(They fought against early persians) -Dacians -Saba(As in europa barbarorum) -Germanic "barbarians" -Maccabees -Han Dynasty -Thirtieth Dynasty egyptians Pehraps some of those could appear in latter "x-packs"
  17. If you could help, the would be great
  18. Yes,perhaps an normal unit would be the saami warrior be without ski in normal game, but the ski unit would bew avaible in map editor. This is just one of many possibilities I will keep the unit there,we should think a lot untill choose what to do with the unit
  19. Ok,so we get rid of this idea I will add them to the list, latter we decide what to do with them EDIT:The next researchs can take more time because I will need to find another way to get osprey scans, but it will not take a lot of time
  20. The idea of order textures is interesting I have another idea:What if we had a technology that,if researched, upgrade the knight to oreder knights
  21. Yes,we have to decide between the most important and,in my opinion, consider the diversity(For example,if the most important people in italy of the first period where the ostrogoths,I would prefer give them to one italian faction(As I did with venice) and the other peoples for other italian nations(At the moment,Sicily has byzantines and Pisa Lombards))
  22. That is a good point, but I still think we could use that idea for other orders(Since it would be hard to make the first and second period of those if they became full civs) I will think about the iberian knights
  23. I tought that by the end of the first period the lombards got Italy, and i prefered to give them differemt units them ostrogoth units already used by venice, but if you think that ostrogoths are better,i can change it My tests are finished,I think I did them well,I will re start to work in few days(Because tomorrow is my birthday,so I wont have many time)
  24. Well, what about take out the austrasian cavalry and papal guard and add the frankish spearman and peasant javelineer from the french unit list? Is there anything more you would like to point?
