  1. I'll give a global opinion in this very topic. There's no need to make a plenty of civilizations at the moment - first make two and polish the balance. The game is not a museum, it should give some useful skills for a player. Moreover, remember 'Age of Empires' when it was all about difference in unit skins - each nation mostly had the same unit system, so the winner was the quickest one to develop. The game should give a variety of tactical movements made with different unit sets so the big amount of siege catapults won't be a pledge of victory. Add game speed option, e.g.: normal - fast - fastest. Add volume regulators. All the options set in CFG files GUI should have. Smoothen animations, enrich textures. Add server search table with filters, there shouldn't be only Direct IP connection. Add option to turn off unit sounds. There's an awful ship sound for now. Something should be made with large amounts of units. The game is laggy with them.
  2. So '0 A.D.' is just a name? 'Cause Troy, Alexander of Macedon and other existed far before this date, and some - after (Mauryans).
  3. Well, I just installed the wrong driver.

  5. I've written above that the game is twitchin' even with all the graphical options off. Here are my rates during active playing for Athenians against Iberians (me vs. 1 AI) with all the options on (FPS is lower when zoomed out and higher when zoomed in (varies from about 20 to 80 FPS).
  6. Guys that's not because of graphics adapter or so. That's because of everything processed during the game. Maybe it's rough CPU work or so.
  7. So why is everything smooth on the video above? Moreover, the game is not smooth even when all the graphical effects are off.
  8. This game doesn't require many resources, it must run well with everything enabled.
  9. It's not smooth from the start of the game because of everything being processed - orders, appearance of units and so on. Two teams - me and AI. My PC is Intel Core Duo 2.4 Ghz, nVidia GeForce GTX 550 Ti 1Gb, 2 Gb RAM.
  10. Sure. I can draw a suitable background for menu, you'll need just to process it in graphical editor in the end.
  11. Hello everyone, I play '0 a.d.' on Linux Mint 14 and have gameplay not as smooth as in this video: (tried it also on Windows 7 - the result in the same). It's not smooth because of loading different actions and operations during the game. How to make everything smoother? Or it's just alpha and everything's going to be polished in the future? Regards
  12. I can draw twice better than the topic starter. Ministrantes Antic portrait Woman Woman with a scarf
