I was thinking the other way around. A Carthaginian special ability would be to train allied troops by building a Carthaginian embassy within an ally's territory.
I agree with Sighvatr for this one but the embassy must be upgraded if they want to train ranged units, mounted units, etc.

IMHO Heroes of Might and Magic III is the most addictive game ever made, and I've played many games. If you haven't tried it yet, you simply must.
Yup, but Heroes is not RTS but a TBG. Its been a while for chain lightning moments.

The greek version have longer words so it may not fit perfectly with existing music, but it has the rhymes. Maybe we can compose different tune for this version?

And we have no intention to stop people from selling the game in the first place. We do hope to find some ways to make it harder for people to cheat, but we do want them to copy the game as much as they want/can after all
Also, just to make something clear, it's my opinion (and I would dare say the official opinion of the team) that we should not, and will not, try to sell the game in any kind of way until we have a final release. After that point we could make it available for a small sum for people with slow internet/who wants a boxed copy/etc, but even if we'll sell something we don't want to sell unfinished software 
The art of packaging can make people choose to purchase rather than downloading directly.
0 A.D. is actually already sell-able even before its completion because some people just want to have something new and don't need a finished version.

So, what are the consequences if 0 A.D. a nonprofit endeavor that promotes worldwide collaboration in developing a historic based RTS, accidentally contains licensed materials or similar situations which are caused by misunderstanding in interpreting license due to the difficulty in checking the materials from community contributions one by one ?
Btw, if somebody sued, make sure they can also provides evidence that they own the license.

Already discussed about this before, its better for the wfg team to cooperate with independent vendors by cooperating with them earlier.
Some profits goes to the vendors, some goes to support the game.
Anything can be monetized, the problem is how to manage it to support the spirit of fairness.

Actually I really think pontoon bridge is an important part in gameplay and a nice tactical advantage.

Somebody should create "easy to understand" license for future long term use.

Is it possible to create some special area where:
- Stairs can be built next to mountains?
- Ramps can be built next to hills?
- Bridges can be built across rivers?
- Stairs can be built next to mountains?
