  1. This right here would be great. Also, would you like me to redesign the tutorial map for A24, @Angen? The current one is ugly and A24 will have some really nice assets I can use to make a very nice map. I can make it have the same berries, trees, mines, units, etc. as the current one, but look soooo much nicer.

  2. I totally forgot about this T_T @Nescio Do you know which template should receive the sounds ? There is no common template for all cattle IIRC...   4. Hi, I am working at new tutorial with attempt to improve it. I aim to have cleaner and less text for user to read. To this tutorial I have added Market, trading, bartering, rotation of buildings. Any military stuff would be in second part of tutorial, this should be only about economy. Any suggestions, improvements welcome. @Nescio I would be glad if you could provide review from language perspective. @Freagarach, @borg- @ValihrAnt @Boudica @Stan` could you please try it and give me feedback? newTutorial.zip

  7. Those things stated might relate to 1v1, especially about Rushing and Exploiting Weaknesses. If the Rush is too strong and / or the Weakness is too prominent, then the only problem is balance.

  9. @Nescio, @Genava55, dudes, I just casually bumped into a Nubian Khopesh! It's from Zuma, an archaeological site 40 km downstream from Napata/Jebel Barkal and 10 km south of El Kurru, deep in Kushite territory. The archaeological site is associated with post-meroitic to early Christian Nubian tumuli graves, but the khopesh may have come from an as of yet undiscovered Kushite or perhaps even Egyptian gravesite. Personally I think the most attractive tentative explanation is that these Post-Meroites may have supplemented their own grave goods with items looted from the nearby royal Kushite cemeteries (both Napatan and Meroitic period). Weapons are frustratingly rare finds in Sudanese archaeology, and the khopesh in general is a rare find anywhere, so finding a khopesh, intact no less, in the archaeological record, so close to Kushite royal cities and cemeteries is pretty cool... https://issuu.com/sudarchrs/docs/s_n06_zurawski/16

While at it, I think the cavalry walking speed is currently a bit too high (195%); horses can run very fast, but when walking they are not much faster (5-8 km/h) than humans (4-5 km/h); so perhaps 150% would be better? Also, what would be decent walking speeds for the siege engines? E.g. 90% for packed scorpio (donkey), 80% for packed bolt-shooter, 70% for packed stone-thrower, 60% for ram, and 50% for siege tower? Or would a single speed (e.g. 75%?) for all siege engines be better?

  11. Thank you for your work, @Angen! It's a decent start, but there is certainly room for improvement: Could you number the instructions? E.g. "Step 1 / x". The red box at the top of the window is empty; why not put something in there? Perhaps the name of that step? Sometimes there is so much text in the window you have to scroll. Why not make the vertical size dynamic to avoid that? For the actual objectives, please replace the hyphen-minus with a bullet (copy-paste •), capitalize the first word, and end with a full stop. E.g. "• Order 1 Female Citizen to pick fruit.\n" instead of "- task woman to collect fruit\n". Not everyone is proficient in English; be precise and try splitting long sentences into multiple shorter, succinct ones. Please follow the English style guide: Use "Structure", not "building" Always capitalize classes (e.g. "Cavalry", not "cavalry") Check for typos, e.g. "comming" [sic], "Excelent" [sic] Check interpunction, articles (is your native tongue a Slavic language?), grammar, etc.

  12. @Nescio patch fixed that removing the nerf or buff off every unit kind. And yes im glad you mention that, that is also another broken fact of infantry speed the only way speed should be different between infantry is running and running should be implemented only with stamina for not having it as an exploit of skirmishers. Honestly this isnt a "balance" issue, this an exploit and an insult to realism or immrsion in gaming, is kinda stupid and not doing anything only worsen the fact of the speed exploit. Look the most modded game of all: Skyrim. It has magic, beasts, dragon, huge axes and everything an RPG has to offer, Yet the community of this game made thousands of mods to make the game more realistic and immersive by adding hypothermia, thirsty, hungry, deceases, Mods to modify combat into directional damage and proper sword and shield combat etc. Everything to make the game realistic and immersive for the community taste. Who was wrong in here; The community who plays and buy the game , Or the developers ? Remember AoE 2 Forgotten devs. Doesnt that applies too to 0.A.D. ? This is a game for educate our community about history but what about realism? We have to question ourselves "What are we teaching ?" That a skirmisher walking zoom all over the map? That a ram is faster than a pikeman formation charging ? That an skirmisher army was more dangerous than an army of well protected and shielded pikeman. Also the fact of having different kind of walking speed is just another excuse for being a clon of AoE. If this game doesnt want to be compared with AoE, do the right. Implement good features: Realism in human matters, Realism in combat, the opportunity of create batallions after creating single infantry and then make them forget about gathering and improving their combat skills while they are in batallion.

  13. I know this was already said, but please! The Diadochi factions already suffer economically, because pikes move slower than all other units, so their economy is not as robust. Everybody mentioned the speed of skirmishers when gathering, but not the slowness of pikes.

  14. A recommendation: please try and treat each other with respect. Bash the game all you want, but please hold back when it comes to other people. Calling someone sweet cheeks is not necessarily over the border, but it's getting close, so please don't go any further.

  16. I will recheck number of structures, market thing is actually problem in vanilla where player is not informed that markets are too close to setup the root. It has diff prepared.

  19. Well a lot of people are able to play else Couldn't have taken place however we do know there is lag when many units are moving and @wraitii is doing is best. The game is indeed slower in multiplayer than in single player to account for network lag. Sorry for the inconvenience. It's not an excuse but unlike GTAV we don',t have a 295 Million budgets. Rather a 10 000th of that
