  1. @coworotel Hey, been busy with other things, but work on the mod is still being made! I'll share some screenshot of some of the work that has been made soon. @Angen Been doing some research as I want the mod to be historically accurate as much as I can.

  2. At we could make a new thing @(-_-) like giving 5 to 10 minutes time for disconnected players to reconnect or just let the remaining player as winner

  4. Thank you for pointing this out. Actually those are different errors: there are problems with some templates used in the map. Today I went through all random maps and discovered ten of them are having errors. I've now added more templates to solve five of them (Caledonian Meadows, Extinct Volcano, Hellas, Pompeii, and Wall Demo). The five others (Danubius, Elephantine, Jebel Barkal, Survival of the Fittest, and Wild Lake) still have errors. Let me know if you encounter any other problems.

  5. I just posted the title. Although, it would be nice if the bot could identify copyrighted material. Unlikely considering what happened in this case. [deviation from the topic] I did not violate any copyright laws. I wouldn’t say the same about all the height-maps in maps/scenario/ since all (or some (or maybe none, I didn't check that much)) those were commited without any additional information of the source and may very well be violating copyright laws. 6. I once got muted in the lobby for posting the title a good novel. Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep? along with the Author name. So yeah, lobby needs more human moderators.

  7. Yea, it's the combination of the network model and rating that doesn't fit well together ATM. The neutral third party usually is a server but I'm not sure about the use of resources that requires, especially with increasing numbers of players.

  8. As far as I know you are free to use different accounts between trac, phab, lobby, forums, irc, as long as they are unique. There would be no reason for us to link them all together. You are also free to change your username on the forums, if you don't want to hide the fact that you changed it. This way you don't need two accounts. You only have to ask feneur for instance.

  9. How does anyone other than me, let alone everybody know who you actually are?

  10. That covers some issues which have to be mitigated somehow if someone decide to change the system.

  11. (IMO the solution to leaving rated games - for whatever reason - is to make that player lose, no moderation needed. If your car breaks in a race you lose it - has been done for decades and noone seemed to have problems with it. That doesn't mean moderators are not useful in other cases! I'd prefer people getting along with each other but - I can dream quite vividly I guess ^^)

  12. Thick fabrics (woven or not woven) is the only one attested for sure. Pliny specify that both the Parthians and the Gauls use felted fabrics tremped in vinegar, which is able to resist a blade or fire (a bit exagerated but it is plausible). Moreover Polybius says during the battle of Telamon that the non-naked Gauls are protected against javelins by their tunic. There is a Parthian find: https://www.metmuseum.org/art/collection/search/325987 Scythians use felted fabrics for various things: https://flextiles.wordpress.com/2017/10/16/scythians-warriors-of-ancient-siberia-at-the-british-museum/ https://www.apollo-magazine.com/art-diary/scythians-warriors-of-ancient-siberia-british-museum/?map=active Padded armor seems to be a thing for the Roman Imperial Era: https://www.reddit.com/r/AskHistorians/comments/70fz17/did_roman_legionnaires_wear_gambeson_under_their/ No worries, I am busy as well. Good luck with your courses.

  14. That was it! I didn't know the mods affected Atlas. I disabled the mod, launched Atlas, the problem was still happening... I had to disable the mod, save configuration, then launch Atlas - then it worked! Thanks!

  16. Since you have proof as to who the quitter/s are can you tell the name in your post so as to warn others who can’t or wouldn’t care to view the rar /zip? I hope the mods or devs won’t go too far banning them. Maybe these guys need help to learn to become better but just have a bit of attitude. I don’t care about rating nor becoming OP and I’m willing to play this quitters all over again even losing points or not gaining at all just so they can enjoy the game however they behave. I’m not emphasizing tolerance on bad player behavior but I don’t want players to quit 0ad just for little nonsense.

  19. Kind of a random suggestion: make the corpses a bit "faded" in color, so it will be easier to identify live troops when they are fighting in a field full of dead bodies.

  21. Depends but I think can get up to 6k per month. 0Ad gets 500 per mentor I believe.

  22. The biggest trouble with GSoC is that it's hard to find someone who has got the time to be a mentor for the student/s. In principle it's certainly something we think is useful though, it's just not been possible in practice so far. Maybe someone will have more time this year though, I don't know

  26. I agree that the lobby could use an extra moderator or two who would cover American and Asian gaming times. Primarily for chat moderation, they would be able to assist in the processing of reports and other administrative issues. However, those with a tarnished record featuring multiple issues with administrative authorities or those who are temperamentally unsuitable to the position need not apply.

  28. Lovely progress. Aesthetics Hint: Try to avoid flat plain, bare walls like the side of the barracks. Break it up a bit with some bevels, windows, buttresses or other architectural elements or props.
