  1. I guess saying "many examples" was an error. But one I can think of is Pyrrhus at Argos (where he was slain by a roof tile thrown by an old woman). Your aggressiveness is unwarranted, since I am with you that elephants being meat battering rams mowing down buildings left and right is not much supported. Just felt reasonable to make them good against wooden gates, but not against many other structures which are often made of brick or stone. However, if we follow @Sundiata's suggestion and give every civ the battering ram (which we bloody well should), the gate bonus I suggested for eles would be unnecessary. Can I suggest this? Every civ's battering ram starts as a simple ram carried by men (like the Xiongnu ram). Then many (there's that enraging word again) civs can upgrade them to Covered Rams with a tech (more armor and HP, a little slower). The game needs more visual upgrades, methinks.

  2. Thanks. I will post photos of the home once the closing is complete and I am given the keys. It has been a long time coming. My 2 kids will finally have their own rooms. Yard for a dog. Hardwood floors. Very nice.

  3. Hail! I'm The Great Gurken Khan, revered and feared all over the known - and unknown - lands of the Zeroadees! *cough* Aaand IRL I'm just a casual single player from Hamburg, Germany (GMT +2). I came across 0AD feeling nostalgic about AoE2 but not wanting to play along with MS' BS... 'Thank you!' to everyone who contributed to this game, and I at least plan to give oh so constructive feedback. And I'm like totally not a turtle in this game!

  4. Picked this up from Amazon as a kind of "house warming" gift to myself, since I'll be moving into new digs soon. It's actually pretty cool in person and has some considerable weight to it. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00GB2E3M2/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

  7. In my hypothetical world elephants aren't so good against buildings anymore. Also in my world, melee cavalry have a bonus attack vs. your dangerous catapults (and every civ has access to some kind of melee cav, so it's all good).

  8. I'll do the edits to the voice files now- rename and batch convert so they match the existing voices. Give me 1-2 hours.

  9. But the problem is that this type of ram is practically unuseful, cause it can be really damaged by a group of ranged units (65% defense to pierce). This would encourage the players to train elephants and no more rams. Also, the players would lose time (against a civ with catapults or elephants) to upgrade the rams before than train them (and also before training hero). This would be really annoying for a civ like macedons that has not access to a good unit that is not ram to counter a mass of catapults.

  10. Basically: make a new directory in 0 A.D.'s local mods folder (see https://trac.wildfiregames.com/wiki/Modding_Guide#Wherearethemods ) put a `mod.json` file there to allow your mod to be detected and loaded in game place your audio files under `{yourmod}/audio/voice/persian/civ/` copy the templates of the units you want to use your audio files, place them under `{yourmod}/simulation/templates/units/`, and insert <Lang>persian</Lang> between "<Identity>" and "</Identity>" launch 0 A.D., go to Settings/Mod Selection, then select your mod, click "Enable", "Save Configuration", and "Start Mods".

  13. Any hacky way to make the game at least somewhat playable though, even if the game is less balanced and runs out of room fast. I kind of find the prospect of fighting otherworldly enemies as the romans an interesting gameplay.

  14. There is no way to make this compatible with stock maps for two main reasons 1) Hyrule Conquest uses different resources and does not have a 1:1 matchup with 0ad's resources. For instance, Wood and Stone are both a generic "Material" resource in Hyrule Conquest and not two separate resources like in 0AD. You'll not be able to gain any Rupees on 0AD maps. 2) Buildings in Hyrule Conquest are a lot larger than those in 0AD and you'll run out of room really fast on 0AD maps when building a base.

  15. That's the point You don't understand units in Age Of Mythology If you don't know ancient Greek and Latin you won't understand what units in the game are saying. It's an historical game so we try to get the closest to reality Farsi will be fine for the time being But the end goal is their original language.

  17. Absolutely leave them empty - the game will fall back to the original English when something hasn't been translated. If you just copy/paste the English text, it will be harder for you to find them later when you do want to translate them.
