  1. Put some Egyptian placeholders mixed with @LordGood's Kushite buildings. Made some special modifications to some textures.

  2. Why should we? If we did you'd have to find something new to complain about, some of us might take over the world or worse, someone else might pick up where we left (in which case you'd have to voice your complaint again), etc. But most of all because we are doing this because we want to. (Locked, since people already started feeding the troll.)

  3. I like sometimes to drink tea and play not fast game. So, a valid solution could be adding an option: "Control camera by mouse".

  4. I think we shouldn't, because currently every user could play in game only with mouse. So mouse movement removing breaks it.

  6. I think Napata may look more interesting, especially because the sacred mountain Jebel Barkal could give a nice big geographical point of interest.

  10. Hi, My plan is to Recreate the capital or the most representative city of each faction on the game including faction mods. I will try to be the most detailed as possible inspired in what Leroy30 was doing, even adding units so it does not seems like a ghost city, which reminds me, how can i turn off the units silhouettes on Atlas? Not meant to be playable. Unless someone take it and delete 90% of the props on the map. It will have every mod possible, each one adds more props! Whenever a map is finished i will create a new topic and linking it here, guess is better than overcrowd this topic. I expect to "ship it" with some history paragraphs. It will be the most accurate as possible even if i got to create unique/exotic buildings with a mix of buildings and terrain elevations. This is the plan i have for now: AngloSaxons Athenians Britons Carolingians Carthaginians Chinese Egyptians/Ptolemies Epirotes Gauls Iberians Indians/Mauryans Macedonians Norse Persians Romans Seleucids Spartans Thebans Zapotecs Kushites If anyone can help with references or suggesting me another city, i will be eternally grateful.

  11. the loft of Hamilcar ... From the balcony , a sight on the port and on a hidden ritual spot I set the map to large , so more space for naval combats. Player 1 = Hannibal , Player 2 = Maharbal , Player 3 = no hero , Player 4 = _____________________________________________________________________________________ (Player 1 - Phase 3 - No builders; no CC but super port and wonder - Hannibal) District 1 : Rich merchants - Only boats and units from Fortress but also 2-3 inner traders District 3 : Religious and big Gardens - only units from Temples - They wait a enforcement of their army with the arrival of their Hero --> Hannibal _____________________________________________________________________________________ (Player 2 - Phase 1 to 2 max - No champs - Hamilcar ) District 2 : Administrative center of the city - with carthage embassy District 5 : Something between District 2 and 4 with lot of barracks. _____________________________________________________________________________________ (Player 3 - Phase 1 max - Bigger pop - Maharbal ) District 4 : Very poor but well populated with ressources productors . Maybe i should give them them only wooden walls _____________________________________________________________________________________ (Player 4 - Mercenaries - Phase 1 to 2 max - Gauls) Zone 6 : The place where the mercenaries of Carthage stay - their territoiry is annexed to Carthage as long as they stay loyal to Carthage. Being ally with that army will cost ressources every second and he can even ask to Carthage even more (otherwise they will betray in favor of Rome). If Carthage notice susipicious activities (like building a CC of their own) Carthage will remove territory annexion so mercenaries's buildings will turn gaia before Cartage will crush the mutinery (unless its too late for Carthage) _____________________________________________________________________________________ (Player 5 - Rome republic - Phase 3 - Scipio) Zone 7 : Rome will come by waves (like survival of the fittest ) from zone 7 but also by sea. Rome will try to set a basement on lands There is still lot to do, so comments are welcome before its too late

  17. Offtopic: in 22 days we have 2 choices we become slaves or we are free before that day and the internet is getting worse and worse everyday. About the zip files, i found a bug with the template of the anglo fortress wich i've already fixed, it was related to the obstruction. I will upload a zip file only with each topic files, when its done and approved like the norse longhouse. so its more organized.

  18. http://www.historytoday.com/raoul-mclaughlin/desert-legions-romans-africa This article makes it clear that any scenarios or campaigns for the Kushites could involve at least 3 other factions already in the game. That's definitely a big item for the pro column.

  19. I've heard that it might be possible for anyone to host games on alpha 22, that solves one problem; But I hope the developers can ask the players to help create a conqueror's campaign. I highly recommend following a few historic epics; Particularly the conquests of... Cyrus and Alexander the Great. Starting with Persia and Macedonia, but perhaps remaining open to create a campaign for every faction, following the legend of one hero in particular; I'm not going to suggest any other heroes... I recommend the developers make a list of historic battles they want included in the campaign, under the heroes; With extra options for the map editor. Than they can rely on the players to create the campaign from scratch, afterwards; A battle map could look really cool. That battle map could be used for a territory campaign that includes every map and every faction, each battle could have a premade map for the area. Perhaps alternating different locations around each area in the territory. Than you could put campaign back on the task list, and just let the players do it for you; Possibility alternating the order to include only the very best in final product... By keeping an open mind to awesome scenarios some work on triggers for the map editor would help alot... But it's not even entirely necessary to make awesome 0 AD maps. So long as anyone can host and anyone can share a map; 0 AD could have one of the best campaigns ever. I expect that once decided any scenarios it will be difficult to change; But I also expect players to make Muuuuch better versions of each battle, and the developers to consider each battle as the history and requirements become more clear (or what they want in the game, following some version of a campaign).

  22. I think it would be nice to have some missions where the main objective is not to build a city and win a battle like standard map. Say, for example: a trigger choice-map similar to: a mission where you don't have to build anything, you have some champions/hero and you have to reach some objectives (kill a single unit, capture a specific building, rescue a monk, reach a fortress, ...); survive for X minutes (not necessarily a tower defence map). This would add some variations on the playability.

  23. What? not a major power! sssss perhaps a playstyle that emphasizes the Minoan flourish in trade and art, and their naval prowess, like Carthaginians without their colonization bonuses or walls they have a VERY unique architectural style too, it would be a shame not to add them. besides, I already made buildings and all that (if you could PM me your email Stan (or any councilor who wants these), I could send over the files along with the Mycenaeans so I don't forget them down the road.)
