- Siege weapons overhaul. Catapults and Rams are now much more effective against structures, but are much weaker against organic units. This change trades a bit of realism for gameplay balance. - Overall, higher tier buildings (Fortresses, Army Camps, Gymnasiums, etc.) are now much more expensive to build. This is in part to compensate for the lack of phases. In the future, there may be some form of requirements for certain buildings. - Champions are now much stronger than basic Citizen Soldiers, but also cost more population space. Champion infantry costs 2 population, champion cavalry costs 3. - All Heroes are now just very powerful units, identical to Greek heroes from Age of Mythology. I'm still working on implementing a training limit. Celts and Hellenes can now train only 3 Heroes, the same as other civilizations. Hellenic heroes are Leonidas, Alexander and Themistocles. Celtic heroes are Boudicca, Brennus and Vercingetorix. - All features that weren't implemented, or were implemented partially, were either removed or tweaked. Charge attacks are removed because they didn't work and they were cluttering the UI. GUI buttons that did not work are removed. Civilization pages that showed technologies and bonuses are also removed, as almost nothing was implemented at the time. Useless Stamina stat is removed. - Priests are removed for now, but the Temples now heal faster and can garrison up to 30 troops. You can now have only 3 Temples at a time, to prevent front-line spamming. - Population cap is now at 200. - The AI (legacy qBot as base) is now harder, and attacks with more units. Roman AI can train Marian Legionaries from the Army Camps, while Hellenic AI can now train Siege Towers. AI has been renamed to "Centurion". - Towers are now weaker, but you can build more of them. You can now only construct 5 Fortresses, so turtling is not really an option. - All Mercenaries should now train at an Advanced rank, making Carthaginians useful for a change. - Ranged infantry has less health. No more slingers with 100 HP. - Fields now provide 550 food by default, instead of 2000. They are also cheaper, costing only 75 wood. Persian fields provide additional 100 food. Now it's better to assign only one or two females per field, especially in the mid to late game. - Houses are cheaper and build faster. Actually, most of the economic buildings now build faster. Carthaginian apartments (Bets) are more expensive, but also provide 15 population. - Persian Spear cavalry now trains at an Advanced rank, but is more expensive since it doesn't require metal. Chariot archers are also stronger, but expensive. - Romans now have two champion infantry swordsmen. Extraordinaires attack faster, while Marian Legionaries hit harder. - Hunting has been overhauled. Animals are now easy to kill, even by females. This is mostly to prevent hitbox glitches and to help the AI. Predators are also easier to kill, butthey still pose threat to lone women. - Removed some of the useless tooltips for buildings, and tweaked others. Still a work in progress to document each unit and structure properly. - Hellenic Theatrons are now not buildable, but are still in the game for the scenarios. - Hellenic Fortress is a bit cheaper, since it doesn't train Champions. It still can build unique Siege Towers, so it's not much cheaper. - Adjusted the text on the Main menu and during gameplay to properly inform users that this is actually a mod of Alpha 9 version. - Unit balance is still a work in progress, but each civilization will have strengths and weaknesses.
