Citizen
The
citizen is the villager/worker unit of the Noldor. The
citizen performs many integral functions of everyday
Noldorin life, from planting gardens, to mining and
refining gems, to studying ancient lore in libraries
to gain wisdom and knowledge. They build houses, war
halls, council halls, and libraries. In Tolkien's literature,
the Noldor are known for their artisanship and artistic
vision, and in TLA, of course, it is the same.
Abilities:
Attack (Melee), Repair, Build, Hunt, Gather, Garrison

Scout
Quick
and far-sighted, the Noldorin scout is a talented explorer
both having a vast line-of-sight, and also a good memory
to retain that which he uncovers. Besides scouting,
however, the Noldorin scout gains the ability to hunt
after researching the upgrade, "Art of the Hunt".
The scout's speed and bow-hunting prowess make for a
powerful and mobile hunting force. Scouts can use their
"Survey" Skill to descry the map, increasing
their line of sight for a limited time but preventing
them from moving. Noldorin cavalry played history-changing
roles in the battles of the First Age of the Sun, where
they were employed against the vicious hordes of Morgoth
Bauglir.
Abilities:
Attack (Ranged), Hunt, Survey

Banner-bearer
No
Noldorin army is complete without soldiers holding aloft
the high banners of the elven-kings. In fact, Banner-bearers
are an essential part of the "company" in
TLA, the special grouping of units in TLA that allows
you to access the advanced formations which offer bonuses
to the units in that formation. When part of a group
or company, Banner-bearers raise the morale of that
group or company alone by a set amount. When not grouped,
a banner-bearer simply raises the morale of all units
in a given area by a certain amount. The effects of
mulitiple banner-bearers accumulate but there is a limit
to how many banner-bearers can affect the morale of
a given area. Banner-bearers can use their "Rally
Troops" ability to further temporarily boost the
morale of their fellow Noldor.

Songweaver
Besides heroes, most renowned among the elven kindreds
of Arda were the musicans, poets, and bards. The Songweaver
is just such a bard. Like the famous elven Songweavers
of his time, Daeron, Pengolod, and Rúmil, this
unit will be able to weave strains of melody and words
into tales, lays, and epic poems, which can be used
to memorialise fallen leaders and to benefit the civilisation
as a whole. Songweavers ability to sing of great deeds
in battle also allows them to inspire soldiers, raising
morale in the same way as the Banner-bearer. And songs
of joy and bliss have the effect of bolstering units'
health.
Abilities:
Song of Triumph, Song of Mending, Write Lay, Garrison

Herald
In order to conduct diplomacy, the Noldor must train
diplomatic units. The Noldorin diplomatic unit is the
Herald, a swift rider of noble descent whose expertise
in foreign affairs allows him to make artful negotiations
with fellow civilisations. Heralds must be used in order
for a Noldorin player to conduct diplomacy, or a herald
can establish an embassy with a player of good relations,
allowing the player to have an immediate contact with
his friend. Once given a diplomatic task, Heralds become
immune. Only after the task is complete does the herald
again become vulnerable.
Abilities:
Conduct Diplomacy, Establish Embassy

Guard
Every Civilisation has a specific Guard unit in TLA -
the Noldor are no exception. Like all guard units, the
Noldorin guard is cheap and quick to train, and can be
assigned to guard specific areas. "Guard Areas"
as they are known as in the game can include Caravans,
Clusters of buildings, and player-defined patrol routes.
While not the best of the Noldorin army, guards serve
an important strategic purpose, defending that which drives
any war machine - a strong economy. He is armed with a
spear, small shield, and light armour.
Abilities: Attack (Melee), Guard, Patrol, Garrison
