Refuge
The
refuge is the civic center of any Noldorin settlement.
A refuge was often a peaceful place of gathering, feasting,
and song for a Noldorin civilization, for example Elrond's
hall in Imladris would have qualified as a Noldorin
refuge. The Refuge is also the primary resource deposit
for the Noldorin economy. As with all civic center buildings
in TLA, the refuge will be the primary contact point
for all diplomatic relations. Civic centers like the
refuge are a prerequiste for building cities - they
create a "Home Area" around their perimeter
that allows the player to build other buildings near
it. The refuge also will grant some population slots
to the player.

Dwelling
The sole function of the Noldorin dwelling, as with
any dwelling, is to provide the Noldor with extra living
space. So in TLA, the dwelling will increase the total
population allowance for the civilization, allowing
more units to be trained.

Mineshaft
Mineshafts in TLA are unlike mines in most other games
of the same genre. In order to mine mineral deposits,
the Noldor first must find a deposit on the ground,
identifiable by characteristic sparkles, rocks, metallic
glints, etc. Then the Noldorin citizens can build a
mineshaft anywhere over this mineral. Similar to the
mine in AoK, the mineshaft will gather whatever resource
it is built on top of. In order to actually mine resources,
however, a player must actually send citizens into the
mines to work. The Noldor were known, especially in
the first age, for their mining of various metals in
the mountains of Middle-earth.

Artisan's
Guild
The
Noldorin artisans created fantastic masterpieces of
jewelry during their many thousands of years. In TLA,
these artisans will work within the Artisan's guild,
a small shop in which the trade good jewelry is produced.
Like mineshafts, in order to use the Artisan's guild,
you must actually send citizens into the artisan's guild,
essentially instructing them to become artisans.

Sanctuary
The sanctuary is the healing center of the Noldorin
civilization. It is here that Songweavers are trained
to practice their crafts of healing and it is hear that
songweavers refine their bardic skills. Units garrisoned
within the sanctuary will be healed much more quickly
than if they are garrisoned in any other building. It
is also in the sanctuary that songweavers can write
lays and epic poems with which to memorialize fallen
leaders, preserving some of their bonuses.

Council
Hall
The Noldorin Council Hall is the primary research facility
of the Noldorin civilization. It is here that the wisest
among the Noldor gather to study the ways of the world,
and it is here that the Noldor devise their most brilliant
ideas. Primarily used for research, the Council hall also
acts as the gathering center for the elven commodity,
Wisdom. Like Jewelry, to gather wisdom from this building,
citizens must be sent into its internal studies and chambers.
The council hall has an add-on building, the Archives,
which provides additional technologies and functions as
the primary gathering center for the good, Knowledge.
Like wisdom, to gather knowledge, citizens are sent within
the archives.
Resources Gathered: Wisdom, Knowledge (Archives
add-on)
Building expansions: Archives

Marketplace
One of the most useful buildings of any civilization,
not excluding the Noldor, is the Marketplace. It is
here in the marketplace that a Noldorin player can sell
his resources at market, allowing him to buy other resources
that he lacks. In this building he can build and outfit
caravans, and can set them up with trade routes. And
the marketplace also functions as a resource deposit
center for any depositable resource. Inside the marketplace,
Noldor are always at work increasing their trade returns
and productivity, so plenty of trade-related research
will be facilitated here.
Equipment Built: Caravan
Resource Deposit for: all depositable resources.
