Work
Cart
The
best friend of the Edain Villager is the Work Cart.
Not only does it function as a mobile drop-off point
for all kinds of resources, it also travels between
the gatherer and the nearest drop-off building (e.g.
Great Hall, Marketplace, Fortress …) to add its contents
to the player’s resource pile. Not every resource, however,
is physically gathered and dropped off - sometimes resources
are generated from assigning villagers to work inside
of buildings. The work cart has a limited capacity that
can be increased with certain upgrades. The only hazards
the Work Cart will ever encounter are either being destroyed
or captured by an enemy civilisation, which will then
plunder its current cargo.

Caravan
The counterpart to the Work Cart is the Caravan.
Unlike the Work Cart, the caravan does actually consist
of multiple carts. It has its own guard area, which
allows the player to assign guard units to it, and it
is meant to travel player-defined, or auto-defined trade
routes. Like the work cart, the caravan can be captured
and its contents plundered. Caravans are built at the
Marketplace, which is also the place to improve their
trading capability with various researches and upgrades.
Sometimes the only way of gaining rare Goods means sending
off Caravans to Minor Civilisations which are on friendly
terms with the player.

Battering
Ram
The Edain possess only the most basic siege weaponry
(as opposed to the Noldor for example) and so they usually
choose a nice and sturdy tree trunk. Although it's certainly
not the most efficient of battering rams, the Edain
think it is sufficient for forcing gates and other such
things. Like other engines, the ram must be manned in
order to work. If a siege engine is left unattended,
it is vulnerable and can actually be captured by enemies
and used against the player!
Abilities:
Attack (Melee), Dismiss Operators

Fisher
Boat
The way of fishing from a boat may be as old as humankind
itself, the origins are lost in the dark of time but it
is first recorded that the early Edain used boats on the
vast waterways of the inland Sea of Rhûn. This tradition
they kept when they entered Beleriand and it proved as
another useful way to gather Food. Fisher boats are built
at the Dock, which also serves as the drop-off point.
There the player can also invest into Researches and Upgrades
which will improve the efficiency of the Fisher boats.
Abilities: Drop Nets.

Trader
Boat
The need for a Trader first arose again on the Sea of
Rhûn when the northern Pre-Marachin Edain found their
bethren from the Pre-Bëorin Edain living on the southern
side of the vast inland sea. They slowly developed an
exchange of goods and information, but again the concept
of trading on waterways was taken along their journey
into Beleriand. Just like the Fisher, the Trader is
also built at the Dock, where it can be improved further
with Researches and Upgrades, similar to the Fisher.
Like the Caravan, the Trader can be assigned manually
to travel to friendly ports, but it can also be assigned
to auto-defined trade routes.
